What To Wear To Any Type Of Wedding

05 / 20 / 16

As if the baby isn’t enough, Corey and I are also in full-blown wedding planning mode! We already did some location scouting during our trip to Hawaii, but we were unknowingly followed by the paparazzi, which means everything was leaked and we are starting over from scratch.

Still, now that wedding season is around the corner, I can’t help but get excited for a summer filled with beautiful weddings and inspiration! I can tell you right now from firsthand experience — planning a wedding is hard. But, if there is one thing that is more difficult than planning the actual wedding, it is picking out an outfit to WEAR to a wedding!

The first step is to figure out what type of wedding you’re going to be attending: Is it traditional, destination, rustic, on-a-budget, or is it an eloping situation? Then, browse below for my hand-picked selection of items that are suitable to wear to each type of wedding!

You can’t go wrong with a traditional wedding, which is why I chose these classic pieces as my favorite outfit options. Heads will be turning for more than just the bride with these amazing looks!

Destination Wedding:

I’m a sucker for destination weddings. There is nothing better than an outdoor wedding with a lovely view, beautiful weather, and great people. So, no matter the location, these looks will have you embracing the spontaneity of a destination wedding!

Rustic Wedding:

Southern-inspired, rustic weddings are so gorgeous! When I’m invited to a wedding that has somewhat of a theme, I always try and coordinate my outfit to go with the décor. The bride will appreciate your effort and your coordination will make for a great Instagram!

Wedding On-A-Budget:

There’s no need to be ashamed if you scrolled directly to this category — I love bargain items, too! The feeling that comes with knowing an adorable outfit was purchased for less than $100 is worth the extra time it takes to look through racks and racks of sale items. Don’t worry though, I’ve already done it for you! Here are my favorite items under $100 that are perfect for any wedding!

A big, grand wedding isn’t your style? Eloping is the way to go. BUT, just because you won’t have a large crowd there to witness your vows doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look and feel amazing! The following pieces will have you feeling like a bride, without all the stress of a more traditional wedding.

Comfortable & Easy

05 / 13 / 16

I love casual outfits! I find that wearing comfortable clothing boosts my mood to an entirely new level, which is a very important concept now that my pregnancy brain has taken control of our lives. I know I already obsessed over this look on Instagram, but I keep coming back to it and think you will love it just as much as I do!

If you couldn’t already tell, then I’m here to tell you that this was one of the easiest outfits to put together. You can’t get any simpler than a grey tank and black leggings, but I added several accessories to tie it all together. This look is a good example of an outfit that doesn’t need tons of flashy jewelry — I tried on a few of my necklaces but decided this Bandana Bolo Necklace from Free People was the best fit for the overall feel I was going for. Sometimes simplicity is the way to go!

Babymoon & Third Trimester Update!

05 / 10 / 16

Our recent trip to Hawaii was the perfect babymoon to end our travels as a couple before we welcome our little girl into the world! This particular trip was extra special because we went to visit my little sister and did a ton of fun activities and relaxation — a Jurassic Park tour, walked along the beach, lounged by the pool, and basically anything that remotely resembles relaxing.

Now that I’m in my third trimester, the fatigue is kicking in again. I get cramps, pregnancy brain, and need Corey to help me put on my boots on a daily basis. Acupuncture has helped a ton with the final stretch, but I’ve definitely cut back on my pilates and yoga classes as the pregnancy progresses. We don’t have much time left to go, so we are focusing on getting the nursery ready and beginning to nest, which is why comfort has become a HUGE factor when it comes to my outfit choices.

Outfits like this one have become my go-to (if you couldn’t already tell). Not only is this dress an easy option to throw on in the morning, but it also doesn’t have any ties, seams, or waistbands that would be uncomfortable for my bump! AND…everything I’m wearing is under $100!

I can’t believe the count down is on to meet our baby girl! In the meantime, you can find me lounging around in this maxi dress until I can finally see my toes again:)
