The love the invitations and save the date memories Wedding Paper Divas created — they are elegant and tropical with a touch of rose gold details. I wanted cobalt blue to be one of our main colors for the reception, so we decided to use blue water and wine glasses!
Every guest had a hexagon stone with their name engraved.
Every guest also received a welcome bag, which included an Aloha tote, sunscreen/moisturizer by Purlisse, & other goodies!
Naked buttermilk cake… simple and delicious!
Corey and I LOVE specialty drinks! One of our favorites is Sunny Jack (Diet Sunkist & Jack Daniels), but we followed the theme and went with Mai Tais & live music during cocktail hour. Rosé is also my guilty pleasure, so we had Rosé Lemonade and a Rosé Spritzer!
We had tons of twinkly lights and lounge areas.. We also had a kids activity area and a separate tent for babies and mamas!
I loved the twinkly lights and hexagon floral chandeliers that hung over the dance floor. I wanted it to feel romantic and magical, especially once it got dark. Morgan from Moana Events and Steve Boyle Design brought my vision to life!
No bride is complete without her best gals, and I can’t thank these amazing ladies enough for standing by my side through thick and thin! Since the wedding was fairly small, the bridal party was, too — but I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. From left to right, we have my best friend Kendra, sister Casey, sister Samantha, and Sister-in-Law Theani!I’m feeling extra thankful this week, but the wedding would not have gone as smoothly as it did without these 4 incredible women as my support system! Here are some of my favorite Bride/Bridesmaids robes to wear while getting ready for the big day — Stay tuned for décor and dress details coming soon:)
Before I reveal the details of my wedding dress, I wanted to show some love to my amazing rehearsal dinner dress! This GORGEOUS white silk piece is by Grace Loves Lace and was the perfect dress to wear to our pre-celebration.
I’m personally obsessed with this look — It is sleek, chic, and simple all at the same time. BONUS: The choker comes with it!! Keep reading for my outfit details and pics from our rehearsal dinner:
Corey and I are officially husband and wife! I wanted my wedding to be magical with a hint of romance and Boho glam — I have Pinterest to thank for the inspiration that slowly brought my vision to life! We were thrilled to bring both our families and friends together to celebrate our lifelong commitment in one of our favorite vacation spots… Hawaii!
The morning of the wedding was a little hectic… not going to lie. My nerves were all over the place, and it didn’t help that we had tons of people coming in and out, saying hello, and finalizing last-minute details. My two good friends Brianna Cisneros and Amy Clarke were lifesavers in getting me, my bridal party, and themselves ready for the wedding — Amy only had 30 minutes to do my makeup!!! I will do a separate post on my entire wedding look, but everything ended up working out (thankfully!). Amidst all of the chaos, I managed to steal a few moments to myself in the bathroom prior to the ceremony — I sat there in silence, took a few deep breaths, kissed Kirra, and said a prayer!
Once we left the hotel room, there was no turning back! It didn’t fully hit me until we got in the limo and started heading to the location, though. All I could think was, “Don’t cry. Don’t cry. You don’t want to ruin your makeup!”
I was lucky enough to have my hero (AKA my dad) walk me down the aisle. I love him so much! I was fighting back tears as we made our way closer to Corey, but as this was happening I could feel my train and veil catching on the wooden poles that lined the aisle, causing it to pull my head back. I kept moving forward with a smile on my face until it came off!!! I continued walking until some very generous friends ran up behind me to secure it back on my head. LOL — sometimes you have to roll with the punches!
Song choices: Walking Down the Aisle: Halo (Cover) by Madilyn Bailey (The perfect song from me to Corey!) Bridal Party Entrance: Daisy’s Song by Dominic Balli First Dance: Stand By Me (Cover) by Lemmy Kilmister Father/Daughter & Son/Mother Dance: My Wish by Rascal Flatts (Lyrics are so on point!)
I will never forget November 5th, 2016 — I had the best time of my life and can’t imagine it any other way. It truly takes a village to make a wedding vision come true, and I want to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed to making this day as special as it was: Briana Cisneros and Amy Clarke for my beautiful hair and makeup, Tauni Dawson & Great Lengths for the extensions, Morgan of Moana events, Wedding Paper Divas for the beautiful invites & collateral, Steve Boyle Designs, and everyone who attended!
I loved every part of my wedding, and I can’t wait to share every detail with you all. Stay tuned for more blog posts about the wedding, my wonderful bridesmaids, and (of course!) my wedding dress!!!
There is nothing more relaxing than taking Kirra for a walk to admire the bright blue skies and colorful leaves of fall, but California’s ‘fall’ weather doesn’t always mean pants and a jacket. The weather is going through an awkward stage as we hold onto the last bit of summer heat, and this is the perfect opportunity to experiment with seasonal styles!
Dresses are my go-to style for summer, and fall boots are a girl’s best friend — Why not combine the two? A dress doesn’t always go hand-in-hand with a pair of boots, but this trend is worth a try before moving into full-blown winter mode. The key to nailing this look is to select a boot style that complements the style of the dress! See below for 5 of my favorite dress & boot combos, and get some transitional style inspo before it is too late!
